Flexbrick revolutionises architecture
With a solid base in ceramic tradition and an eye on the future, we develop flexible, efficient and durable solutions that respond to the contemporary challenges of design, industrialisation and respect for the environment. We are committed to conscious architecture, where technology, aesthetics and sustainability coexist in balance. flexible and industrialised ceramics.

About us
Flexbrick® transforms ceramics into a flexible and industrialised architectural solution, designed for projects that demand design, efficiency and sustainability.
From the outset, it has been committed to intelligent architecture that combines material tradition, technical innovation and environmental commitment.

A company with innovative origins.
Flexbrick® was born in 2009 as a result of the collaboration between Piera Ecocerámica and Cerámica Malpesa, two leaders in the Spanish ceramic industry. Based on an invention by Dr. Architect Vicente Sarrablo, Flexbrick was created to transform contemporary architecture with an industrialised and flexible solution: ceramic fabric.

More than 15 years driving architectural industrialisation.
Since its launch, Flexbrick® has evolved into a pioneering construction system that integrates traditional ceramics with stainless steel. Its modular design allows façades, roofs and floors to be created quickly, precisely and with a high degree of customisation. This system has been adopted by major architectural firms in large-scale projects with international visibility.

Responsible design, vision for the future
Flexbrick’s commitment to sustainability is an essential part of its identity. Its products are manufactured from recycled and recyclable materials, transported compactly and installed dry. In addition, they use biogas as an energy source, significantly reducing the environmental footprint. Today, Flexbrick continues to research and expand its solutions, driving a new understanding of contemporary architectural design.

Our History
1997
Foundational inspiration
The architect Vicente Sarrablo meets the engineer Eladio Dieste in Uruguay, who passes on his ideas about reinforced ceramics. From this meeting the conceptual seed of Flexbrick was born.
1998-2002
Thesis and patent
Sarrablo develops his doctoral thesis on reinforced ceramic vaults at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2003 the first patent for the industrialised system was registered.
2001
First prototype at Construmat
The first prototype of a full-scale reinforced ceramic vault is presented to the public, arousing great interest in technical and architectural circles.
2006
First experimental house
The Mingo House, designed by Sarrablo and Colom, is the first architectural project built with different applications of the ceramic system.
2007
Extended applications
Flexbrick is presented at Construmat as a dry assembly system, applicable to façades, ceilings and floors. This marks a commercial turning point.
2009
Founding of Flexbrick
Piera Ecocerámica and Cerámica Malpesa found Flexbrick, investing strategically in R&D to develop the system and bring it to the market.
2011
Official launch
After passing all the technical tests, the Flexbrick system is officially launched at the Construmat trade fair and receives its first recognition from the sector.
2014
First non-ceramic application
The Flexbrick system is used for the first time with wood in the Rei Martí Warehouse project, demonstrating its material and constructive versatility.
2016
Expansón internacional
The Saint-Roch car park in Montpellier (France), with more than 7,000 m² of façade, marks Flexbrick’s entry into the European market and wins the German Design Award 2018.
2017
International recognition
The Niel Garden in Toulouse, with Flexbrick draining paving, wins the prestigious FAD International Award for innovation and sustainability.

Services
Flexbrick® offers industrialised architectural solutions for facades, flooring, roofs, pergolas and customised systems.
With a comprehensive approach, we accompany architects, engineering and construction companies from the conception of the design to the technical execution, adapting each system to the specific needs of each project.
Design and manufacture of the Flexbrick® system
From our production plant, we design and manufacture flexible ceramic modules adapted to the needs of each project. We combine technology, precision and knowledge of the material to offer ready-to-install solutions with customised finishes and high-quality standards. Each system is manufactured with technical control and full traceability.
Customised architectural solutions
Flexbrick is not a closed product, but an adaptable system that allows multiple configurations. We develop specific solutions for ventilated façades, roofs, pavements, pergolas or solar envelopes, adapting to the technical, aesthetic and functional requirements of each project. We design so that the system integrates naturally into any architectural typology.
Advice and technical support
We accompany our clients in every phase of the project, from the first design sketches to the installation. We offer technical support in the definition of solutions, structural calculation, assembly and maintenance, and we can even assign a site manager to supervise the execution of the Flexbrick system with guarantees.

Corporate commitment to sustainability
At Flexbrick®, we understand sustainability as a transversal responsibility that guides our decisions, processes and relations with the environment. Our commitment is not limited to the product, but extends to the entire value chain, from manufacturing to logistics management and social impact.

A company with innovative origins
Our ceramic tiles are fired exclusively with renewable biogas, which enables us to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and to make our production more environmentally friendly.

Efficient industrial processes
We optimise each phase of our production process with energy efficiency and waste reduction criteria. We design systems that minimise the use of materials and resources, committed to rational, clean and controlled manufacturing, without compromising quality or durability.

Low-impact logistics
Our modular system can be transported rolled or folded, which significantly reduces the load volume. This translates into less travel, lower fuel consumption and a tangible reduction in the carbon footprint associated with distribution.

Responsible and continuous innovation
At Flexbrick®, sustainability is a strategic axis of development. We constantly invest in R&D&I to improve the environmental impact of our products and processes, collaborating with architects, engineers and entities in the sector to lead the transition towards a more sustainable and conscious architecture.

Awards
Throughout its history, the Flexbrick® system has been recognised nationally and internationally for its innovative character, its technical contribution to the world of architecture and its commitment to sustainability. These awards not only reinforce the quality of the system, but also reflect the trust placed by architectural firms, engineering firms and entities in the sector in a solution that transforms the way of building. Each award received drives our commitment to excellence, intelligent design and constant evolution.
