HOW CERAMIC TISSUES ARE DESIGNED

Configure your own tissue. Easy and simple. Inspiring.

YOUR FLEXBRICK CERAMIC TISSUE CAN BE CUSTOMIZED IN ONLY THREE STEPS

DESIGNING A FLEXBRICK IS VERY EASY

1. Choose the pattern, the Flexbrick steel core, the most suitable one for each area of the project.

2. Choose the elements and formats to be inserted inside the flexible steel mesh, in pitch or broken formation.

3. Play with the materials and textures of finishing. And create!

Steps:

1

Choose your brick size.

2

Draw your nets wide’s.

3

Design your brick net drawing.

4

Fit and numerate the patterns on the façade.

Flexbrick is an open design system, consult to the Technic Office to explore its limits.

1

THE FIRST STEP

Flexbrick has patented and developed different configurations of tissue patterns which may be customized

ACCORDING TO WHAT A PATTERN IS CHOSEN? THE GRID WILL BE THE BASE OF THE DESING:

1. Constructive application. Chose the most appropriate pattern depending on the application to be developed.

2. Density of elements incorporated in each pattern. From 10% of elements to 100%. Depending on the number of elements and material chosen, the weight per square metre and maximum lengths of each tissue will vary.

3. Play with the materials and textures of finishing. And create!

Horizontal

Vertical

Vertical broken formation

HORIZONTAL

Pitch with elements in a direction perpendicular to the tissue direction

WIDTHS
75 / 100 cm.

APPLICATIONS
Façade: Hanging flexible, flexible panels with perimeter frame and rigid panels with architectural concrete.
Hanging façade: Standard and lattice
Pavement: Rigid, flexible and drainage.
Roofing: Flat, curved and garden.
Pergolas: Rigid and flexible.
Structure: Laminated roofing in situ and prefabricated elements (segments for vaults and slabs).

FLEXBRICK SHED PATTERN

It can be converted into a shed pattern.

The number and order of pieces may be customized. Shed the tissue according to the range of finishing.

VERTICAL

Pitch with pieces parallel to the tissue direction

WIDTHS
70 / 80 / 100 cm.

APPLICATIONS
Pavement: Rigid, flexible and drainage.
Roofing: Flat, curved and garden.
Façade: Flexible panels with perimeter frame and rigid panels with architectural concrete.
Pergolas: Rigid and flexible.

It can be converted into a shed pattern.

The number and order of pieces may be customized. Shed the tissue according to the range of finishing.

VERTICAL BROKEN-FORMATION PANEL

Broken formation with pieces parallel to the Flexbrick direction

WIDTHS
70 / 80 / 100 cm.

APPLICATIONS
Pavement: Rigid, flexible and drainage.
Roofing: Flat, curved and garden.
Façade: Flexible panels with perimeter frame and rigid panels with architectural concrete.
Pergolas: Rigid and flexible.

It can be converted into a shed pattern

The number and order of pieces may be customized. Shed the tissue according to the range of finishing.

ELEMENTS FORMATS

2

SECOND STEP

Versatility of the constructive system allows to adapt numerous formats.

Two groups of piece formats. You can choose.

Standard: Plate, brick, pavement brick.
Customized: In textures and geometry.

Variables of piece design

With, thickness, length and type of material are aspects which can be easily customized. With Flexbrick, you can weave any type of format. You should only consider that your design allows the elements to be fixed to the supporting flexible structure.

STANDARD PIECE FORMATS

PIECE FORMATS

Pieces are confined safely as they are provided with slots in which the steel mesh is housed. They have been tested in an accredited laboratory.

APPLICATION IN CONSTRUCTION WORKS

Practical handling in construction works. Easy and safe fixing and supporting. Time saving in execution.
Another way to construct with ceramics.

Constructing Process

Pavement:

  • Pull the Textile with a crane.
  • Lay it on the floor.

Precast pieces:

  • Pull the Textile with a crane.
  • Lay it on the precast table.
  • Add the concrete.

Façade:

  • Pull the Textile with a crane.
  • Lay and fix it on the weight anchors.
  • Install de wind anchors.
  • Finish the draw inserting a few number of bricks files .

Transport in pallets: Flexbrick are flexible and are delivered folded in pallets, which makes logistics easier.
Easy to hoist: Only a simple laying tool, which Flexbrick puts at your disposal, is needed.
Small formats can also be provided: Flexbrick can also be made in small-dimensioned formats for manual handling.
Numerous constructive anchorages: The steel mesh allows numerous anchorages to be easily fixed by means of screws, depending on the aesthetical and technical requirements of each project.
Cost control: Due to fast laying and reduction in labour.
Quartering: The less quarterings of Flexbrick are part of a surface, the lower number of laying operations, crane time and supporting elements will be counted, which will reduce the cost per square meter of the system installed.

RANGE OF FINISHINGS

Numerous solutions. Freedom to create.

DRESS YOUR CONSTRUCTION WORKS WITH CERAMIC TISSUES.

BASICS RANGE: A PIECE, A MATERIAL, A COLOUR.

THE CUSTOM RANGE COMBINES THREE BASICS DESIGNS IN A SINGLE SHEET.

HAUTE COUTURE RANGE: THE SYSTEM POSSIBILITIES ARE TAKEN TO THE LIMIT. DIFFERENT RANGES FOR DIFFERENT SITUATIONS.

Choose and design your Flexbrick tissue: Numerous different Flexbrick can be designed depending on the tissue pattern and pieces (same or different) chosen in both cases. There are three ranges of Flexbrick canvas, which are different depending on the design complexity.
