Two Flexbrick® ceramic façades wear the new Higueron Hotel Malaga by Hilton in Fuengirola

The American hotel chain Hilton has invested 22 million euros in the complete renovation of the Higueron Hotel Malaga and opens its doors under the luxury brand Curio Collection by Hilton, with 177 rooms and the only sustainable restaurant with a Michelin star in Malaga.

The management of the project was in charge of the studio Manuel Herreros. The architect has given to the old hotel a contemporary air while sustainable with two facades of ceramic fabric Flexbrick®, one flat and another curve with pergola included, which provide design and functionality to the new hotel.

The hotel opens with the philosophy of combining luxury, gastronomy and art. It’s plenty of artworks everywhere, so the hotel opens like an art room, with masterpieces from Tapies, Rivera or Lita Cabellut, but also by local artists, such as Enrique Brinkmann.
