Bpm-Architectes chooses Flexbrick to renovate Gajac Primary School

The Gajac Primary School is part of the French “Kindergartens” created by the Third Republic to educate for the first-time children from of both sexes. It is placed in Saint-Médard-En-Jalles and occupies an old building inspired in the 60’s architecture style.

The architect studio BPM-Architectes was appointed to renovate the building. To improve it with modernity, identity and a better environmental impact were the main objectives of the project. To this purpose the architect studio chose Flexbrick. The ceramic system has been applied in the façade, using a white Klinker bricks surrounding the whole building and creating a new playground area. On the other hand, the openwork composition of the pattern and its design help to filter the light and also absorb the solar heat.

To develop this project Flexbrick® has done several improvements, like the starting and ending of the façade in slope or the use of a regularization platen.
