The Rey Martí Depot and the Campclar sports pavilion, finalist projects of the 2018 Catalonia Construction Awards

The jury of the 15th edition of the Catalonia Construction Awards has chosen 19 finalist projects (out of a total of 94) that will be eligible for the awards in their respective categories. These awards, which are convened by the Association of Quantity Surveyors of Barcelona (CAATEEB), aim to recognize the efforts of industry professionals and entrepreneurs who contribute with their work to improve the quality, management, sustainability, innovation and safety of construction in Catalonia. The awards are supported by the Board of the Association of Quantity Surveyors of Catalonia and Arquinfad.

The prizes will be given during “La Nit de la Construcción” (Construction Night), an annual event open to all professionals in the construction industry, where the actual winners will be disclosed. The meeting is going to take place on June 27 in the Auditorium of the University of Barcelona.

The Rey Martí depot (Barcelona) and the Campclar sports pavilion (Tarragona) are among the finalists. With regard to the depot’s refurbishment (carried out by the Archikubik studio), it was the first time the Flexbrick® system used wooden pieces as an interior lining. As for the Campclar pavilion, which will host some of the competitions of the Mediterranean Games, the entire roof of the premises was made with Flexbrick®
